[2.4.2009] - NTCB Warranty Policy
NTCB has had an issue with clients returning boards due to defects and defective materials. After our investigation into this matter, we have come to realize that this problem often originates from the client.
NTCB receives orders and processes them immediately as per client wishes. However, after demanding this boards in a timely fashion, clients often mishandle our shipments and store them away at facilities for months at a time. When the packaging is removed, the boards will be susceptible thermal defects due to the hygroscopic nature of the board material can cause thermal defects such as de-lamination, post separation and many other flaws. Humidity, dust, heat and light can also cause damage over time. NTCB cannot afford to have such issues occur and cannot be liable for improper storage or use long after NTCB has shipped the boards.
NTCB is enacting an official warranty policy for our products limited to six months. If the product is deemed defective within the timeframe, we will have to be notified and given a chance to replace or fix any errors. NTCB will only offer credit for the rejected boards.
We will gladly rework or replace boards that have been deemed insufficient by a client’s Quality Control department. We will require thorough documentation about the problem such as when it was detected, by whom, and location on the board. This documentation should also include the date the boards were received by the client.
NTCB kindly asks clients to abide by our warranty policy as of 2/4/2009. All orders placed before 9/4/2008 cannot be replaced or returned for credit. Orders after 2/4/2008 will have six months to report any flaws or defects.
